Lips lose color and definition with age, sun, and time. Uneven tone, faded borders, lipstick that wears off in an hour. Lip blush is a soft, custom-matched tint that restores color and shape to your natural lips and lasts one to three years.

FAQs
Lip blush is a soft tint of pigment deposited just under the surface of the lip, designed to mimic your natural color enhanced. It’s not a permanent lipstick (no bold edges, no waxy finish) and it’s not a filler (no volume change). It restores color to lips that have lost pigment with age, balances asymmetric tone, and softens the appearance of fine lines. Think of it as your lips looking like the most flattering version of themselves, with no lipstick required.
One to three years for most clients. Longevity depends on how thin your skin is around the lips, how much sun exposure you get, and whether you use lip products with retinol or acids. A Refresh appointment every 12 to 24 months restores color and shape, and is much less expensive than starting over.
Lips can feel slightly more sensitive than brows because of the nerve density. There is topical numbing throughout the appointment. Most clients describe the sensation as a buzzing pressure or vibration, not sharp pain. You will be numb the whole way through.
No. Nina’s lip blush is intentionally subtle. The goal is restored color and a softly defined border, not bold edges or a lipstick look. Most people who see your lips will think you have a great lip color day or that you’ve had a fresh chapstick application, not that you got cosmetic tattooing.
Yes, with one important step. Any history of cold sores (oral herpes / HSV-1) means we ask you to take a course of antiviral medication (usually Valtrex or Valacyclovir) starting 1 to 2 days before your appointment and continuing for several days after. This dramatically reduces the chance of a flare-up triggered by the procedure. Your primary care provider or telehealth doctor can prescribe it. If you’ve never had a cold sore, no prep is needed.
