Microblading creates fine hair-like strokes with a manual blade. It works best for sparse brows that need definition. Microshading uses dots of pigment to create a soft powder-fill effect, ideal for a fuller, makeup-on look. Nano brows use a digital machine to lay down ultra-fine hair strokes with more control and less skin trauma than traditional microblading. Most NK.B clients end up with a hybrid (nano strokes plus light shading). Nina selects the technique on the day based on your skin and goals, so you don’t have to choose in advance.

One to three years for most clients. Longevity depends on your skin type (oilier skin sheds pigment faster), how much sun your brows see, and your skincare routine (retinoids and acid exfoliants speed fading). A Refresh appointment every 12 to 24 months restores color and shape, and is much less expensive than starting over.

There is topical numbing throughout the appointment. Most clients describe the sensation as light scratching or a faint pressure, not pain. If you’ve had laser hair removal or microneedling, this is less intense than either. Some people fall asleep during the procedure.

No. Nina’s signature is intentionally natural. Most people who see your brows won’t think you got cosmetic tattooing, they’ll think you had a great brow day. The goal is your features enhanced, not someone else’s brows on your face.

Days 1 to 3: brows look bolder and slightly darker than the final result. Days 4 to 7: light flaking and some color ghosting, all normal. Days 7 to 10: most flaking is done. Weeks 2 to 4: color softens and settles into its final tone. You leave the appointment with a printed aftercare guide and Nina’s direct number.
